Peachpit (http://www.peachpit.com) has launched a Creative Suite 5 online resource center and the publication of new books and videos designed to enable readers to get the most out of the features of CS5, Adobe’s latest software release.

The resource center, books, and videos are aimed at all levels of users and cover all that’s new in CS5, including Adobe Photoshop CS5, Adobe InDesign CS5, Adobe Illustrator CS5, Adobe Flash Catalyst CS5, and more. The new Creative Suite 5 online resource center offers complimentary excerpts, video tutorials, detailed book descriptions (with pricing and availability), and articles from CS5 experts, including Matt Kloskowski, RC Concepcion, and Richard Harrington.

New Peachpit titles include: “Professional Portrait Retouching with Adobe Photoshop CS5” by Scott Kelby; “The Zen of Illustrator” by Sharon Steuer; and “Animation with Adobe Flash Professional CS5 Studio Techniques” by Chris Georgenes. In addition, the “Learn by Video” series from Adobe Press and video2brain will be expanded to include nine titles, covering Flash Catalyst, Illustrator, InDesign, and more. The first titles from Peachpit are scheduled to ship on May 17, closely following the ship date of the new CS5 software.

Peachpit’s CS5 lineup of books and videos currently features nearly 50 titles, including the “Classroom in a Book” series, officially backed by Adobe, and the “Visual QuickStart Guide” series.

For CS5 users who can’t wait for the printed book, 15 titles will be available as “Rough Cuts” through Creative Edge, including “Adobe Flash Catalyst CS5 Classroom in a Book,” “Dreamweaver CS5 for Windows and Macintosh: Visual QuickStart Guide” and “Adobe Photoshop CS5 Classroom in a Book.” Available as a benefit to subscribers of Creative Edge, Rough Cuts provide access to an author’s developing manuscript before the final product is published and are regularly updated as new material becomes available.
