Game studio BeiZ has announced Mandy and Andy – The Seasons 1.0, their new, US$0.99 children’s iPhone-book. It continues the interactive Mandy and Andy book series. In this book cuddly Mandy and Andy cats present the seasons of Northern Hemisphere together with their friends.

Wonder Phone has released Voodo 2, an upgrade of its GTD/todo app for the iPhone and iPod touch, with a 50% off launch price. Features include the ability to sync with Google Calendar and a tag system. Voodo 2 adds new features such as Non-intrusive Auto Sync, Task Search, Quick Add, Contacts Integration, Geo Locations, Nearby Tasks and more. It normally costs $6.99, but it’s on sale for a limited time for $3.99.

Robert Chitoiu has announced Budget, Bills and Balance Forecasting 3.0, an update to his finance app for the iPhone and iPod touch. It requires you to input your repeating bills and income, and one-time bills and income. The app is then ready to forecast your finances. Version 3.0 adds optional push reminders. Balance Forecasting is free. Users may expand the number of entries permitted from six to unlimited by making an in-app purchase of $.99. Users who opt for push reminders pay a one-time fee of $.99 as an in-app purchase.

PhatWare Corp. has unveiled WritePad for iPad 3.3, an update of their $9.99 handwriting recognition software for iPad devices. It lets users take notes in their own handwriting with an iPad stylus pen or their finger. Version 3.3 offers customizable styles, improved recognition and spell checker, inline gestures, and support for an external iPad keyboard.

Audiofile Engineering has updated Backline Calc 2.0, the $2.99 professional music calculator app for the iPhone and iPod touch, to version 2.0. It features more than 20 calculators and converters to cover virtually any musical situation.

Darren Murtha Design had rolled out Drawing Pad 1.3, a $1.99 mobile art studio designed exclusively for the iPad. It gives kids the ability to create art with actual-sized, photo-realistic crayons, markers, paint brushes, stickers, roller pens and more.
