Digital Music Doctor has announced results of the “Music Software Internet Popularity Index (http://www.digitalmusicdoctor.com/reviews/musicblog/) for the second quarter of 2010. Apple Logic and GarageBand both place in the top 10 most popular music software apps.
During the second quarter ImageLine FL Studio traded places with Steinberg Cubase for the second and third positions. Interest in Ableton Live decreased causing it to drop four positions to tenth place. Both Cakewalk Sonar and Adobe Audition showed upward trends, and Audition increased its standing by two positions to rank in the sixth slot. Both MOTU Digital Performer and Sony Sound Forge increased their showing by two positions to rank eighth and ninth respectively.
The ten most popular music software products on the Internet, based on recent search engine activity, are: Avid Pro Tools, FL Studio, Steinberg Cubase, Cakewalk Sonar, Apple Logic, Adobe Audition, Apple GarageBand, Sony Sound Forge, MOTU Digital Performer and Ableton Live.
