MediaBeacon (http://www.MediaBeacon.com), a provider of digital asset management and rich media solutions, has announced a relationship with Aysling Digital Media Solutions for an “author once, repurpose many” solution.

WoodWing’s Digital Magazine Tools coupled with Adobe’s InDesign technology enable publishers to create content for the web, mobile and Apple iPad in almost the same way they produce content for print. Because these tools present themselves simply as new panels in InDesign, the layout staff is easily able to use them without special training, according to Patrick Becker, CEO of Asyling Digital Media Solutions. The Digital Magazine Tools are an extension to WoodWing’s Enterprise publishing system, which is already being used by numerous publishers around the world for their print publications.

With this initiative, MediaBeacon’s digital asset management platform is now integrated with the WoodWing Suite of products to better manage, search and re-purpose all types of rich media in the development of both print and rich output formats, Becker says. The integration shows the strength of persistent metadata through the XMP standard allowing the creative workflow process without any connectors, plug-ins or additional coding, he adds. The partnership will also allow Aysling to sell, install and support the MediaBeacon’s solution along with Woodwing and Adobe offering a cross-media publishing solution for organizations.
