About 1,900 Cleveland Heights High School in Ohio students are receiving Apple laptop computers this week and next week, reports “The Sun News” (http://blog.cleveland.com/sunpress/2010/11/cleveland_heights_high_school_17.html). It’s part of the Cleveland Heights-University Heights school district’s Teaching and Learning with Technology initiative, launched two years ago at Monticello Middle School.

Students at each small school at the high school are receiving their laptops on a different day, through Tuesday. Informational meetings for parents or guardians are being held the night before students get the computers, says “The Sun.” When the rollout is complete, all students and teachers in the district in grades 6-12 should have laptop computers.
