Egozoo has announced Egozoo Cards for iOS devices. It’s a free entertainment app that allows users to record and mix animated, talking greeting cards. It includes four cards featuring one or more animated, talking animals, with 11 more cards available as an in-app purchase. Users may choose which animal speaks, whether the voice is normal or high-pitched, and if the animals are playing music. There are six different cartoon animals, and special cards for Birthdays, I’m Sorry, I Miss You, etc.

Based in Vitebsk, Belarus, the Macsoftex Company has released their reference, fine art app, Russian Painting 1.0 for iOS. Optimized for iPad, the Retina Display, and standard iPhone, the $0.99 app includes high-resolution photographs of 750 famous oil paintings by 220 different Russian painters. Divided into works from the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries, the user may browse using either the thumbnail display or an alphabetical list.

Lividbox has introduced AirScan 1.0 for iOS devices. It’s a $3.99 barcode scanner that can store any scan internally, and/or export it wirelessly to any Mac OS X device using the Bonjour, auto-configuring protocol. The user need only open the app, and their back-facing, primary camera will be activated. Users must frame the shot so that the horizontal red line passes through the entire barcode and then touch the screen. The code is photographed, read, stored, and the code sent wirelessly to the computer.

BBVA Compass has launched a native, free iPad app that marks the first U.S. mobile banking application that visually goes beyond the traditional on-line banking interface of the few other iPad banking applications. In addition to the new iPad application, BBVA Compass also offers native mobile banking applications for iPhone, Android and BlackBerry users.
