Stone Design has announced Videator 5.0 (http://www.stone.com/Videator) and is offering it at the Mac App Store. It requires Mac OS X 10.6.6 or higher.

Videator is a “Vee-Jaying,” movie-mixing and video processing application that lets you instantly make movies with all sorts of effects from live video or existing movies. Version 5.0 takes full advantage of Apple’s newest computers and operating systems.

Videator provides an interface for Mac OS X’s Core Image and Core Video technologies, giving both home users and video professionals instant access to over 125 effects, transitions, and filters. With the US$9.99 software, users can layer movies, multiple live cameras, images, paint, music and text over video, as well as apply, modify, and re-order multiple effects to achieve subtle enhancements or astounding artistic results. You can crop, scale, rotate, flip, skew, change exposure and brighten movies in real time, and then save processed movies as QuickTime or iPod, and images as industry-standard TIFF or JPEG files.
