JixiPix (http://www.jixipix.com) has introduced PhotoArtista Oil 1.0, a photo-to-oil painting application, now available on the Mac App Store. It costs US$9.99, requires Mac OS X 10.6 or higher and can be found in the Graphics & Design category.

PhotoArtista — Oil was developed specifically for converting photographs into works of oil painted art. It includes six art styles that range from realistic to expressionistic: portrait, landscape, realism, impressionism, expressionism and tone painting.
