Dear Panda has introduced CourseNotes 1.0 on the Mac App Store. Formerly available for the iPad, it’s a tool designed to help students to take notes and stay organized.

Integrated ToDo items allow students to track homework assignments and other reminders right in their notes. The app is available in the Education category of the Mac App Store and is currently being featured in the “New and Noteworthy” section.

CourseNotes for is designed to help Mac students stay organized by arranging notes by subject and note session, letting users find notes from a particular class meeting. There’s the ability to search notes and a “saved search” feature.

As with CourseNotes for the iPad, Dear Panda is offering CourseNotes on the Mac free to qualified educators for evaluation purposes while supplies last. CourseNotes for the Mac is compatible with Intel-based Macs and requires Mac OS X 10.6.6 or later. Wireless syncing requires the most recent version of CourseNotes on both iPad and Mac. CourseNotes 2.5 for the iPad sells for $4.99 and is available at the Apple App Store.
