Apple wins design patent for Cinema Display

The inventors are Jody Akana, Bartley K. Andre, Jeremy Batailou, Daniel J. Coster, Daniele De Iulis, Evans Hankey, Richard P. Howarth, Jonathan P. Ive, Duncan Robert Kerr, Shin Nishibori, Matthew Dean Rohrbach, Peter Russell-Clarke, Christopher J. Stringer, Eugene Antony Whang and Rico Zorkendorfer.

Apple was also granted the following patents:

Patent number 8196214 is for a method and apparatus enabled by computer (or equivalent) hardware and software for protection of content such as audio and video to be downloaded or streamed over a computer network such as the Internet.

Patent number 8196153 involves techniques for associating device drivers via a device tree are described herein. In one embodiment, a device tree having a hierarchical structure is maintained by a kernel of an operating system.

Patent number 8196393 is for methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for track simplification and correction.

Patent number 8196781 involves systems for harnessing power through electromagnetic induction utilizing printed coils.

Patent number 8196214 is for a method and apparatus enabled by a computer (or equivalent) hardware and software for protection of content such as audio and video to be downloaded or streamed over a computer network such as the Internet.

Patent number 8195864 involves methods and an apparatus for bridged data transmission and protocol translation in a high serialized data system.

Patent number 8195622 is for a method and apparatus for decoding data.

Patent number 8195393 involves methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for track simplification and correction.

Patent number 8192815 involves methods and an apparatus for applying internal features or complex mechanical structures to a surface of a metal part. The inventors are Douglas Weber, Stephen P. Zadesky and Stephen Brian Lynch.
