Paragon Software Group, has announced five reference classics from Merriam-Webster as applications for iOS devices. Prices range from US$19.95 to $24.95.

YumYumCook has released WhatsGoLa 1.0 for iOS. It's a $2.99 photo editing application that allows users to edit photos, remove the background and merge photos with other scenic pictures.

Nexscience has introduced iScanner for iOS. The $3.99 app allows users to download, scan, print, fax, view and share documents. iScanner supports Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, PDF, Text and a variety of sound and image file formats.

Mezmedia has unveiled Bamba for the iPad. Aimed at 2-4 year-olds, the free app teaches children numerical and social skills while they pretend to run an ice cream parlor.

Not A Basement Studio has launched Fuzel The free app lets you tell your stories through photo collages, right on your iPhone, then share them on Facebook, Twitter, Flickr or email.

Cowly Owl has debuted Little Digits 1.0 for the iPad. The $1.99 app is designed to teach children about numbers by putting a new spin on finger counting. Using the iPad multi-touch screen, Little Digits displays number characters by detecting how many fingers users put down. There are also games that introduce small addition and subtraction calculations, where answers can be worked out using the same multi-touch finger detection.

MacPractice, a developer of practice management and clinical software for doctors' offices on Macs, iPhones and iPads, has created MacPractice MD, DDS, DC and 20/20 Clipboard -- free iPad apps designed to streamline patient registration and leverage the efficiency and ease of use of the iPad to save time and reduce the risk of data entry errors. DreamBrother Technologies has rolled out Derby Manager 1.0 for iOS. It's a free horse racing simulation that offers different kinds of races, breeds of horses, equipment, animal feed, betting, and magical abilities.

CoolAsh Studio and Stojakovic.net have published "The Adventures of Slibby the Snail." The $2.99 interactive storybook is about a funny snail, named Slibby who lives in Porchlandia. He helps his friends, the Ants, find some stolen food. Along the way, Slibby needs to solve quests to find the food. For example, he needs to solve a puzzle, connect the dots to find a leaf, find differences between two images, and more.

Absurdly Logical Solutions has blasted out Fire The Cannon! for iOS. The $0.99 game pits barefoot pirates against hordes of barricaded undead in a battle to recover their stolen treasure and footwear.

Ubisoft says Assassin’s Creed The Fall is now available for download exclusively on the iPad, starting at $0.99. Developed by Ubisoft Pune, Assassin’s Creed The Fall follows the story of master assassin Nikolai Orelov, and his adventurous journey.
