CG Cookie has announced Eat Sheep 1.0 for the iPad. It's a free puzzle/strategy game in which monsters have been released into the wild to reduce the sheep population. Navigate your monster through 60 levels consuming sheep, gaining wool, upgrading your monster and saving the world. Players unlock new monsters, upgrade their abilities and trade wool for cookies which the monster can perform their special ability.

Mobicle has released Dark Blade for iOS devices. In the game -- available in free and US$0.99, ad-free versions -- players begin their action-packed journey as "Master Shadow" whose sword has been stolen by the dark spirits of the Abyss. Players must cut and slash their way through five worlds and 40 distinct stages.

Fireflux has introduced GemPulse for the iPhone. In the $0.99 puzzle game players must build chains of like-colored gems to create a large circuit. The player will then detonate the circuit, awarding points to move on to the next level.

Attorney Terry Cochran has unveiled Accident App by Cochran, Foley & Associates 1.0. It's a free evidence gathering app for car accidents. It features a camera video recorder, accident information collection forms, GPS locator, and single-click links to attorneys, 911, nearest police stations, tow truck services, hospitals, auto repair shops, and more.

Mobivention has unleashed Snake Returns 1.0 for iOS. In the free retro game, the player navigates a snake to eat as many eggs as possible.

MyiPadGuides has debuted Botanical Guide 1.0 for the iPad. The $5.99 reference app is designed as a tool for students, gardeners, nursery personnel and nature lovers, The interactive drawings let you compare leaves or flower details, and learn their definitions.

Cheesar is a new puzzle game for the iPhone and iPad. In the free app you swipe and connect two or more matching characters to clear them from the game board. Collect as many Cheesars as fast as your fingers can swipe before time runs out.

Section 31 has premiered Learning to Read with Byron -- Visual Tracking for iPad. The $2.99 educational app features four main sections, each of which have 10 activities specifically designed for both young learners and learners with identified learning difficulties in the area of visual tracking.

BiblioLabs has created BiblioBoard, a free iPad app that brings thousands of curated historical primary source materials to consumers. The app provides access to historical anthologies that explore places, events, people and themes from across the centuries. Each anthology is a curated multimedia experience about a topic that, on average, includes 75 historical books with numerous other historical images, articles and documents, accompanied by commentary.

Game Division has cooked up Eggy Ed for iOS. In the $0.99 game, the goal is to eat as many eggs as possible by hitting different birds flying overhead with a stone. Players control Ed as he runs back and forth, pauses, or jumps. The longer the fire control button is held, the farther the rock goes on release. The joypad controls both movement and aiming.
