XtremeMac helps Apple consumers go wireless

XtremeMac (www.xtrememac.com) has launched two new products -- the BT Connect and BT Home Connect Portable Bluetooth Audio Receivers -- which enable Apple product enthusiasts to turn their favorite non-Bluetooth home or portable speaker systems into wireless devices with Advanced Audio Coding (AAC) quality sound.

Now, previously non-wireless audio systems can be controlled from an iPhone, iPad or Bluetooth-enabled iPod device. The XtremeMac BT Connect receiver gives Apple users the ability to unleash music wirelessly, turning a previously non-Bluetooth portable speaker system into a wireless one.

With 10 hours of playback on a fresh pack of AAA batteries, music can last all day or all night. For the home or office, the XtremeMac BT Home Connect receiver equips a traditional home speaker system with wireless Bluetooth capability that frees listeners from both cord and dock.

Both the XtremeMac BT Connect and BT Home Connect receivers -- which cost US$59 each -- utilize the AAC Codec, the standard format for mobile Apple products, to achieve better sound quality than Sub-Band Coding Codec (SBC) format. After initial set-up, the XtremeMac BT Connect and BT Home Connect receivers "remember" your mobile device’s Bluetooth connection for access, with an LED indicator that confirms connectivity.
