Universe releases pdf-FieldMerge for Mac OS X


Universe Software has announced pdf-FieldMerge for Mac OS X, Windows 9x, and Linux. With the tool, Excel and CSV files can be opened directly and used as a data source.

pdf-FieldMerge is for users who want to create customized PDF forms. Unlike PDF printers, drivers remain with pdf-FieldMerge created PDF forms and can be filled out or be overwritten. With one mouse click, the users specifies which records should be used to fill the PDF form template.

Currently, Excel (xls), CSV and FDF files are processed directly. Further data connections, such as databases are planned, as is automated e-mail delivery, according to the folks at Universe Software. Batch processing is also possible.

pdf-FieldMerge is available as a trial version from the Universe software website. The single workstation version costs US$137.68 and is available at http://shop.pdf-office.com/index.php?language=en
