Mac OS X software updates for Oct. 3


Here are the latest updates for Mac OS X apps:

DEVONtechnologies (www.devontechnologies.com) has released version 1.6 of DEVONsphere Express, the app that makes the Mac smarter by bringing artificial intelligence to the Finder. The update makes it possible to index networks servers, adds other improvements, and fixes a few bugs.

The PandaWare Company (www.pandaware.com) has updated its cross-platform Help authoring application, Simple Help Editor, to version 5.0.5. The free maintenance update includes a number of new features and bug fixes. Simple Help Editor allows creating Help systems for display in Apple Help Viewer, Microsoft Windows' HTML Help viewer, and Web browsers, with an emphasis on the ability to reuse content for different platforms, for different versions of applications, and even for different applications.

TLA Systems (www.tla-systems.com) has announced version 3.8 of PCalc, their scientific calculator. This release adds support for the Retina display on the new MacBook Pro, and a variety of fixes for Mountain Lion.

The new ConceptDraw Metro Map solution gives ConceptDraw Pro 9 (www.conceptdraw.com) users the ability to design transport routes and tube-style infographics of any size and complexity that can be published on web sites, signage, and print.

Opera Software (www.opera.com) has given us Opera 12.10. It's a new beta of tis web browser for Mac, Windows and Linux systems.

Realmac Software has rolled out Socialite 1.5
(www.realmacsoftware.com/socialite/), and update of the multi-service social network client designed to make it easier to stay update to date with the latest RSS articles and friends' status updates on Twitter, Facebook
and Flickr. It's now a 64-bit app.
