Plustek USA announces OpticFilm 8200i Ai


Plustek Technology (www.plustek.com) has released the latest addition to the their OpticFilm line of scanners with the OpticFilm 8200i Ai. It delivers professional grade 35mm negative and slide scanning with 7200 dpi resolution, according to Mark Druziak, Plustek’s director of Marketing and Business Development. 
 
Bundled with the purchase of the OpticFilm 8200i Ai scanner is LaserSoft Imaging SilverFast Ai Studio 8, which includes Multi-Exposure and iSRD -- two technologies for scanning 35mm negatives and slides. Multi-Exposure enhances dynamic range, diminishes noise, and enriches image detail, according to Druziak.   SilverFast iSRD electronically removes dust and scratches from film using the scanners’ built-in infrared channel. 
 
The OpticFilm 8200Ai is Mac and Windows compatible. It has an USB 2.0 interface.All Plustek products can be purchased from authorized resellers, DMRs, VARs, and distributors. OpticFilm 8200Ai retails for approximately US$430.
