Mac OS X software updates for Oct. 16

Here are the latest updates for Mac OS X apps:

Econ Technologies (www.econtechnologies.com) has updated ChronoAgent for Mac to version 1.3.7. The update improves the efficiency of self-diagnostics, allows a port value larger than 56535 to be specified, and corrects some French and German translations. ChronoAgent for Mac is a utility that runs on the destination Mac and communicates directly with ChronoSync. ChronoSync is the automated synchronization and backup application for OS X that can synchronize, backup, and create bootable backups.

Reggie Ashworth (www.reggieashworth.com) has announced AppDelete 4.0.2, an update to the application deletion utility. The upgrade sports a new interface, revised workflow and is optimized for operation on Lion and Mountain Lion.

MacFamilyTree (http://www.syniumsoftware.com/macfamilytree/), the modern genealogy application, has sprouted version 6.3. The upgrade adds a new research assistant, media gallery, document scanning and more.

Applications for Life Company has released Patterno 2.5 (www.appsforlife.com/products/patterno/), an update to the utility that creates background images and tiled patterns for Mac OS X. The new version adds Retina display support.

Textco BioSoftware (www.texto.com) has rolled out an upgraded version of their DNA plasmid mapping software, Gene Construction Kit. Version 4.0 adds an Autofeature File that allows users to store common DNA sequences (genes, promoters, enhancers, etc.), along with their preferred graphic formatting (font, color, size, line type).
