Mac OS X software updates for Oct. 18


Here are the latest updates for Mac OS X apps:

Apple has posted two Java updates, one for OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard and another for OS X 10.7 Lion and OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion. They offer improved security by uninstalling the Apple-provided Java applet plug-in from all web browsers.

Teamsoft (www.teamsoft.com ) has released version 5.1.1 of TeamAgenda, its collaboration software. Two separate functions have been enhanced in this version: contact invitations via major mailing/calendaring applications (Outlook, Google, Mozilla) and Outlook / iCal synchronization.

Coding Turtle (www.codingturtle.com) has announced Scrambler 1.1.6, an update to their simple encryption app. The upgrade offers new icons and artwork that are compatible with the Retina display on the MacBook Pro.

Oranged Software (www.oranged.net) has rolled out Studiometry 10.0.1, an upgrade for their business management software package for Mac OS X. You can now select separate calendars for Event and To Do syncing from Studiometry to iCal/Calendar and Reminders.

The ConceptDraw Note Exchange Solution (www.conceptdraw.com) now combines the power of Evernote with ConceptDraw MindMap to keep you and your maps organized in a form that makes your content available everywhere at any time.
