Triumph is new audio editing app for Mac OS X


Audiofile Engineering has announced Triumph, the sequel to their Wave Editor audio editing application. Available as an app for Mac OS X, Audiofile says Triumph is an "audio designer" sporting a newly redesigned interface and new features and functionality.

Triumph is much more than just a new version of Wave Editor, which is also the reason for the new name, says Matthew Foust, founder of Audiofile Engineering. The company completely rewrote Wave Editor, he adds.

Foust says musicians and audio professionals who are already fans of Audiofile Engineering’s Wave Editor will be delighted in seeing the new Triumph’s single window and full screen support, experiencing the completely rewritten audio system and the improved arrangement & mastering features, all fully 64-bit. It also sports a patented method for editing audio: Layers, which issimilar to image editing in technique, but is specifically tailored for audio. The Layers method is a way to create combinations of sounds.

The new FHX effect in Triumph solves a number of the issues often associated with listening to music on headphones, says Foust. It creates a more spacious, natural sound stage over headphones, he adds.

Audiofile Engineering has teamed up with iZotope and now includes iZotope Restore & Restoration as well as the iZotope MBIT+ and 64-bit SRC options for disc burning in Triumph.

Triumph requires Mac OS 10.7.0 or higher (10.7.5 is recommended). It's available via Audiofile Engineering’s online store and is on sale for US$59.99 -- 25% off the regular price of $79.99 -- through Nov. 16.  Users who purchased Wave Editor 1.5 on or after May 1, 2012, may request a license key for Triumph 2.0 at no charge. To learn more go to www.audiofile-engineering.com/triumph .
