WaterField Designs introduces CitySlicker for the MacBook Air
WaterField Designs (www.sfbags.com) has introduced the CitySlicker, an urban MacBook Air case with an old-world spin. It's available in four colors: black, chocolate, grizzly and camel.

Designed to enhance the Air's lightness without adding bulk, the CitySlicker is compact, even with accessories. WaterField's design combines three layers of protection using impact-resistant plastic, high-grade neoprene, and a padded liner to keep the Air safe from unexpected dings.

"The MacBook Air is unbelievably thin, and we wanted to enhance that look rather than detract from it," says Gary Waterfield, company founder. "The challenge was to design something sleek with hard-case protection, while keeping it compact, and to create a look that works on weekdays as well as weekends. We added a rugged, distressed leather flap to complete the 'old-world meets modern' look we were after."

The CitySlicker MacBook Air Case combines ballistic nylon with a distressed, leather flap that snaps into place, giving the modern case its old-world twist. The flap covers an accessory nook with four stretchy pockets to keep item in place. A back, semi-opaque pocket with a self-locking zipper stows thin items or accessories. You can opt to tuck it under an arm, or to add a handle, a strap, or both.

Pricing for he CitySlicker for the MacBook Air is:

° 11-inch MacBook Air, US$129 or $139 with handle;

° 13-inch MacBook Air, $139. or $149 with handle;

° With D-rings: add $5;

° With D-rings and strap: add $12;

° With D-rings and suspension shoulder strap: add $22.

Part of the series 148Apps Goes Deep on XCOM: Enemy Unknown I’m still haunted by visions of a parallel world (classified as Xbox 360) as it wasn’t long ago that I was in charge of the XCOM project and led a squadron of soldiers against an alien army. Soldiers I grew attached too, including the first Colonel who helped lead us to many victories. | Read more »

Favorite Four: Soccer Games
As a soccer fan, I’m getting twitchy. The Confederations Cup might be helping a little, but I miss the English Premier League week in, week out. This is where I sink time into FIFA 13 on my console in order to counteract the problem. What about while on the move, though? Here’s a look at my favorite 4 soccer games, each offering a slightly... | Read more »

XCOM: Enemy Unknown – Cheats, Tips, and...
The X-Com series, particularly the earlier games, are notoriously unforgiving. Although while XCOM: Enemy Unknown has been modernized, and is therefore more player friendly, it’s no slouch either. In fact, even on the Normal difficulty there’s a good chance you’re going to get creamed if you try to breeze through it. But all is not lost. If you... | Read more »
