iPhone/iPod touch/iPad apps for Nov. 16


Here are the latest iPhone/iPod touch/iPod/iPad apps. You can find 'em at the Apple App Store (www.itunes.com/appstore/).

Eiconic Games has announced Total Recoil for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. It's an US$199, top-down arcade shooter.

Vivid Games has released Real Boxing. It's a $4.99 boxing game with graphics powered by the Unreal Engine as well as extensive motion capture from professional boxers. The game also introduces the V-Motion Gesture Control System in which the player controls the action on screen using real punches that are detected via the device’s camera.

GiggleUp has introduced Toddler Maze 123 for the iPad. The $1.99 app in which kids find their way through the twists and turns to the finish line with 20 mazes.

IPEVO has launched Showcase app. The free app restricts touchscreen interactions and helps control and customize the iPad user's experience.

Small Planet Digital has unveiled Bean 1.0. It's a $0.99 personal counter app.

iStoryTime has launched the Rise of the Guardians interactive storybook app. The $0.99 app retells the story of the new movie and invites readers to join forces with the legendary Guardians.

Dawn of Play has debuted Dream of Pixels. It's a $0.99 falling blocks puzzle game.

Secret Attic has published A Christmas Carol 1.0 ($1.99), the second in a series of read and play interactive story books.

Random House Children's Books has presented Barbie Color, Sparkle and Style for the iPad. The coloring and activity app retails for $4.99, and is on sale at a special introductory launch price of $1.99.

Hompimplay has produced Jolly Jingle. The free children's game helps parents teach their children a variety of Christmas carols.

ABBYY CopyTranslate 1.0 is a new $0.99 utility that can translate texts directly in the application users are currently using on their iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.

Also note that Apple released an update to its iBooks app. iBooks 3.0.2 addresses an issue that causes the app to unexpectedly quit when used on an iOS 6 device.
