Velvet Rock Apps has announced Cause & Effect 1.0 for the iPad. The free adventure game uses both real video footage and graphics to immerse the player in a world of intrigue. Playing the part of Max Alvarez, users navigate different locations and areas after Max arrives home from work only to find that things are not quite as routine as normal. Players interact with characters by talking to them on a mobile phone or receiving text messages.

Marvel Apps has introduced Tapestry Twist 1.0. It’s a free word sudoku game developed exclusively for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices. Tapestry Twist puzzles are based on a grid in which some of the letters to the puzzle are given. You will then fill in the missing letters making sure that no row, column, or individual grouping has any repeated letters in them and that all RCGs have all the letters which spell out the title or answer to the puzzle.

Nitrogen Studios has unveiled Kodee’s Canoe Nature Flashcards 1.0, the second app to the Kodee’s Canoe line-up developed exclusively for the iPad. The $1.99 app strives to inspire young kids to get outside and start exploring. Kodee’s Canoe Nature Flashcards focuses on words and images from the great outdoors with over 60 cards, three languages and direct links to online animated content.

30 South has launched Ski Tracker: GPS Tracking for Skiers 1.0. The $1.99, sports-based tracking app offers a way to record your ski runs and share them with your friends. It tracks speed, distance, altitude, vert, and time. Ski Tracker also shows you a map of your run, color-coded by speed.

StoryToys has produced “Grimm’s Snow White.” It’s a $4.99, interactive, 3D pop-up book based on the fairy tale.

Lele Studio and Etamin Studio have debuted Smart Aliens 1.0. The $0.99 game blends “interaction, head-to-head gameplay, fabulous animation and zany sound effects.”

Barrington Promotions has published Automanion 1.0, an $6.99 iBook for the iPad. It offers more than 450 images, new and old video and interactive elements on automotive history.

Game of Senses is a new, $0.99 puzzle game that will challenge your senses. You use sight, sound and touch to find the hidden energy dots in the dark. Colors will brighten the darkness and music will flow when you are getting closer to an energy dot.

Sioo Interactive and UbiNuri have teamed up for CatchPlus 1.0. The free app “gives users the chance to prove they have the keenest eye in the realm of high-resolution, pop culture messaging and advertising.” It also enables users to share their photos to the CatchPlus Facebook page, and submit photos for inclusion as actual image puzzles within the game.

Ba-Bomb has exploded onto the iPad. The $2.99 game has players blasting groups of colored bombs and creating explosive chain reactions while dealing with rocks, dud bombs, squids and giant bombs as they fill their punch cards to earn bonuses.

Shadowgun: DeadZone 1.0, the multiplayer sequel to the fan-favorite third-person shooter Shadowgun from Madfinger Games, has come to iOS devices. Up to 12 players can battle online on various maps with 10 different playable characters and a variety of game content.

Stone Design has created an ADN social network client, Nettelator. Designed to take advantage of the App.Net service, The $4.99 app is designed to be an ADN client for both new and seasoned users alike.
