Apple dominates China's tablet market

Android may be top dog when it comes to smartphones in China, but Apple is still dominant when it comes to tablets, according to an Analysys International report (http://english.analysys.com.cn) -- as noted by "The Next Web" (http://macte.ch/4U6aR). The report says Apple has 71% of tablet sales in the third quarter of 2012, placing it well ahead of Lenova, which is n second place with 10%.

The Google-owned operating system accounts for over 90% of smartphones in China compared to iOS with 4.2%. According to Analysys Samsung holds just 3.5% of the company's tablet market. Local brand Ereneben has 3.6% and Acer has 3%. Other manufacturers, including Google’s Motorola Mobility, account for the rest.
