Samsung Electronics, Sony Mobile Communications, LG Electronics, Huawei Device and ZTE are expected to follow HTC and Sharp to roll out smartphones with 5-inch Full HD displays in the first half of 2013, according to "DigiTimes," quoting unnamed "industry sources."
While Samsung and LG will produce Full HD panels in-house, Sony Mobile will be able access supplies from JDI, in which it holds a stake, the article adds. Taiwan- and China-based smartphone vendors can purchase Full HD panels from JDI, Sharp or LG, per "DigiTimes."
