Canon (www.usa.canon.com) has announced a new addition to its Scan-tini lineup, unveiling a compact yet powerful device designed to make scanning documents easy and convenient for users' business and personal lives. It's due later this month for US$229.

The new imageFORMULA P-208 Scan-tini personal scanner handles a variety of documents, such as receipts, business cards, photographs, bills and contracts. These documents are converted into digital information that can easily be searched, stored, and shared.

In addition, when connected to the optional WU10 Wireless Adapter & Battery Pack, the P-208 scanner offers enhanced connectivity, enabling scanned files to be sent wirelessly to a variety of devices and operating systems. This recently introduced adapter allows the P-208 scanner to work wirelessly with Mac and Windows environments, and can also send files to smartphones and tablets when you download the free Canon CaptureOnTouch Mobile app.

The P-208 scanner measures about two inches. In addition, the new scanner connects to a computer and is fully powered by a single USB cable.
