Mac OS X software updates for Jan. 31

Here are the latest updates for Mac OS X apps:

Apple has rolled out three SMC updates. Each addresses an unexpected shutdown issue on MacBooks containing batteries with over one thousand charge cycles. The updates are available now for the non-Retina MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, and legacy MacBook via the Software Updates component of the Mac OS X Systems Preferences app.

CS Odessa (www.conceptdraw.com) has announced a new version of ConceptDraw Note Exchange Solution. The new version provides integration with Evernote Windows and Mac Client.

MacAppware (www.macappware.com) has released MacOptimizer 1.3, an update to its disk utility application. It can help you clean, repair and organize your Mac. Speed up your Mac, fix common problems on your computer, and organize your Mac desktop. Version 1.3 includes the ability to clean font caches, verify checksums for disk images, as well as fixes several minor bugs.

publicspace.net has launched A Better Finder Rename 9.18, an update to the file, photo and music renaming utility. The upgrade adds the ability to use GPS location tags in file names.

XwaveSoft (http://www.xwavesoft.com) has introduced Cloud Outliner 1.2 Lite. It's an update of the free, outline-making app that lets users import/export in OPML format and save outlines as PDFs.

Tropical Software (www.tropic4.com) has rolled out TopXNotes touch 1.2.2, an update to their personal note managing system for Mac, iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. With this release NoteOrganizer, the note list, can be sorted four different ways.

Fultz Creative System Design has given us FormalAddress and FormalAddressPro 3.0 for the Mac. The app converts contact information from any text source to formats imported by address books, spreadsheets, and databases. The conversion now works for addresses in 25 countries and 12 languages.
