Jumsoft has introduced an addition to its Book Palette 1.2 set of templates for Apple's iBooks Author application for designing interactive e-books.
The variety of templates presents users with customizable options to create their own e-books. The Book Palette set now includes 25 templates in all. The five new ones range from "the crisp Decorum, to the elegant and rich Royal Title, to the colorful Taste Buds."
All 25 templates contain the full set of standard sections and page layouts provided in the iBooks Author app, including covers, chapter pages, text pages, tables of contents, glossary pages, and more. Most elements in Book Palette can be recolored, moved, or removed.
Users can type or paste in their own text, add and remove text boxes, and change the fonts. Stock images can be replaced with users' own photos or pictures. Gallery, video, and other widgets featured in iBooks Author also have a matching look in Book Palette, and the app allows users to adapt these elements to their liking.
Book Palette requires Mac OS X 10.6.6 or higher and can be downloaded from the Mac App Store (http://tinyurl.com/b4go6vv) for $9.99. After the app is downloaded, it will be automatically installed on a user's Mac.
