AccountEdge Basic 2 launches on Mac and Windows

Acclivity has announced AccountEdge Basic 2 for Mac and Windows. The latest version of their basic small business accounting software is available immediately and features a long list of enhancements and improvements.

According to the folks at Acclivity, importing and reconciling bank statements is more streamlined and intuitive with the new Bank Statement Import. The new "worksheet" acts as a middle man between import and reconciliation to improve the workflow of dealing with bank statements. Plus, rules can be created to look for and match transactions.

AccountEdge Mobile 2 lets users accept credit cards directly from their iOS devices. Also included in the update to AccountEdge Mobile: quick sale, receive payment on a receivable, and mileage tracking.

AccountEdge Basic now includes mileage tracking, allowing the user to add vehicles and keep detailed notes about business-related trips. You can track date, vehicle used, trip notes, apply mileage to a specific job, and add mileage to customer invoices.

Some more new features in AccountEdge Basic 2 are:

° Batch delete -- you can select multiple cards or items and delete them in a batch with a single mouse click;

° Sales notes -- you can ddd notes to sales orders, quotes and invoices;

° Updated financial statements -- Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reports have been redesigned to be clean and easier to read;

° Dropbox backup/restore -- you can back up online and offsite with a free Dropbox account.

AccountEdge Basic is available through the AccountEdge website, (www.accountedge.com), and other online outlets, mail order catalogs, and select retailers. It's priced at US$99 for new users, and $79 for upgraders.
