If you're a science-fiction fan and want a kool speaker system for your Mac, the Predator by Edifier fills the bill. It's a 2.1 speaker system with an "alien" design.

The system contains a 5-inch downward firing subwoofer, a pair of 2-inch, front facing full range drivers and passive bass radiators producing a total power output of 20 watts RMS. The downward firing subwoofer creates deep, even bass, that can be tailored to fit individual needs with a separate bass adjustment dial. Plus, the passive radiators enhance the bass notes.

You can connect the Predator to any audio device using the 3.5mm auxiliary. The speaker system touts angled satellites for enhanced sound projection. The master volume and on/off dial is located on the top of the subwoofer with a blue halo indicator light. There are separate bass adjustment control for bass output, and all speaker drivers are magnetically shielded.
