Kool Tools: VIPorbit for OS X, iOS

VIPorbit is a handy contact manager for both OS X and iOS devices. Think of it as a tool for instant recall and photographic memory. It enables you to remember and use the details that create value for the contacts you have with the goal of establishing and maintaining meaningful business relationships.

With its concept of placing contacts into  "orbits" (think Google circles on steroids) VIPorbit enables you to both segregate relationships into groups while at the same time take advantage of the  familiar degrees of separation that exists among the people you know. With VIPorbit, you can:

° Import existing contacts from OS X Contacts/Address Book, Google Contacts, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and more;

° Store multiple mailing addresses, multiple email addresses, multiple phone numbers, URLs and more;

° Customize 14 additional fields to track any other information you need;

° Merge duplicate contacts with a few clicks;

° Print a variety of contact reports, including contact details, contact lists, and completed activities for each contact.

° Link with OS X iCal/Calendar apps and Google calendars;

° View calendars by day, week or month;

° Schedule activities linked to individuals or Orbits of contacts;

° Filter calendars by date range or activity type to see all completed and upcoming calls, meetings and tasks;

° Get pop-up reminders for upcoming events and tasks;

° Track calls made, meetings held, emails sent and more;

° Record unlimited date- and time-stamped notes to keep track of important details related to each contact;

° Create individual log entries for each participant of a group call or team activity;

° View contacts’ Facebook status updates and Tweets to track what’s top-of-mind for them;

° Communicate in a social way by sending a Twitter Direct Message or writing on your Facebook friends’ walls;

° Post your own Facebook status updates and Tweets directly from the app;

° View your own Facebook and Twitter feeds to see how your updates appear to others.

Both the OS X and iOS versions work with VIPorbit Services, which keeps your devices in sync and provides online backups. Makes changes on your Mac, iPhone or iPad, and the Services keeps everything up-to-date and in-sync. It also backs up all your VIPorbit data online for free.

VIPorbit is available at the Mac App Store for US$49.99. iPhone and iPad versions are available at the App App Store for free. Go to http://www.viporbit.com for more info.
