Accordance rolls out plug and play RAID 1 solution for SATA II hard drives

The ARAID 2200 installs in any Mac, Windows, or Linux system as a plug-in disk array that requires no additional hardware or software to operate. The device mounts into two standard 5-1/4 inch personal computer storage bays and utilizes two standard 3-1/2” SATA II drives.
The ARAID 2200 appears as a single drive to the system but constantly mirrors data to two SATA II drives. Each SATA II disk used in the disk array is housed in a removable, hot swap drive tray. The status of each drive is constantly displayed on ARAID’s bright front panel LCD. In the event of a drive failure, the ARAID 2200 alerts you with LCD display, audio alarm, SNMP monitoring software and email.

The ARAID 2200 will be available in January. The list price for the ARAID 2200 internal devices is US$415 each. eSATA, SATA and USB external devices is $525 each.
