SmileOnMyMac has updated TextExpander, a Mac OS X utility that lets users define abbreviations for frequently-used text strings and images, to version 2.4. In the upgrade the menu bar icon now responds instantly when clicked, regardless of the size of the user's snippet library. What's more, the menu bar is now navigable via the keyboard as well. Other enhancements and fixes were also added to this version.
CommuniGate has released version 2.2 of its Pronto! unified communications client. The upgrade offers video mail, collaboration via presence and integrated VoIP for Firefox and Safari users.
Renewed Vision has updated ProPresenter, lyric and video presentation software, to version 3.4. The upgrade adds the ability to display lyrics as well as span or tile backgrounds on three screens when used with the Matrox TripleHead2Go.
Oracle has released a Mac OS X version of Navicat for Oracle. It's a solution for Oracle administration and development that lets you create, edit databases, run SQL queries and connect to remote Oracle.
Tweakersoft has updated VectorDesigner, a drawing app for Mac OS X, to version 1.4.2. The upgrade adds kerning controls in the Inspector panel.
VVI has updated Vvidget, a 64-bit MySQL connector for Mac OS X, to version 10.5.7.1. It updates the Vvidget Builder User Manual to conform to both the Leopard user interface and the latest release of Vvidget. Version 10.5.7.1 also adds new sections and updated existing sections of the Vvidget Builder User Manual.
A new beta of Cha-Ching 2, a Mac finance program, is available. The update extends the expiration date of the beta.
Embraceware has updated Awaken, a digital alarm clock for Mac OS X that wakes you by playing music or podcasts from your iTunes library, to version 4.0.13. It fixes a bug that could cause a possible crash on start-up.
Microsoft has released updates for both Office 2004 and Office 2008 for the Mac late on Tuesday. The updates are available at the Mactopia downloads site.
