On Jan. 3, the U.S. Trademark Office granted Apple Registration number 3,038,073 for "Apple" under International Class 40. Say what? Relax; it's just adding a classification that covers their entry into all manner of photographic software like [url=http://www.apple.com/pr/library/2005/oct/19aperture.html]Aperture[/url], iPhoto, iMovie and related services such as purchasing a hard or soft cover [url=http://www.apple.com/ilife/iphoto/features/books.htm]photo books[/url]. You could also expect Apple to make further strides into this area in the future, now that the trademark has been registered.

Treatment of materials, namely developing of photographic film: Electronic recording of photographic images; enlarging of photographic prints; photographic film developing; photographic film printing; photographic image processing; photographic printing; photographic reproduction; transfer of photographs on to compact disc or video tape; on-line processing, developing and delivery of digital images; on-line printing of digital images onto photographic paper, photographic books or merchandise; Advisory and consultancy services relating to all the foresaid, in Class 40 (U.S. CLS. 100, 103 and 106).
