Zevrix (http://www.zevrix.com) has updated ArtOptimizer, its workflow automation solution for Adobe Illustrator, to version 2.3.4. The new version allows you to process rotated images and improves the user interface.
ArtOptimizer eliminates the excess image data of document links and performs image adjustments, reducing the size of an Illustrator job. In order to eliminate excess image data, the app automatically scales the images in Photoshop to match their dimensions in Illustrator, changes resolution according to the target resolution specified, and reimports images to Illustrator at 100%.
In addition, ArtOptimizer can automatically convert image colors, apply sharpening filters, merge and delete layers, and run Photoshop Actions during processing. ArtOptimizer 2.3.1 can be purchased from the Zevrix Solutions web site for US$129.95, as well as from authorized resellers. A demo is also available for download.
ArtOptimizer is available for Mac OS X 10.4.2 and higher and Adobe Illustrator CS-CS4. It's Universal Binary so runs natively on both PowerPC and Intel Macs.
