CES: Targus expands line of laptop accessories

The mice -- due in March -- feature a tilt-wheel with four-way scrolling for viewing of spreadsheets, photos, images, etc. For widescreen laptops, users can adjust the cursor speed with the convenient one-touch button and indicator light, which changes the DPI (Dots Per Inch) setting from 1600/1200/800.

The HeatDefense cooling system can be placed underneath the laptop on your lap or desk to assist in cooling your device and providing heat protection. As your laptop heats up the pad, the crystalline compound melts into a gel-like substance, which absorbs the laptop heat and protects your lap or workstation from heat damage, according to the folks at Targus. It costs $29.99, is due in April and works with laptops from 12 to 17 inches.

Equipped with four outlets, Targus’ new Travel Power Outlets with Surge Protection ($19.99) is designed to help protect your electronics while providing outlet expansion whether you’re at the airport, hotel room, library, or the local coffee shop.
