Not coincidentally, June 11 is the first day of Apple's 2007 Worldwide Developers Conference, which will run June 11-15 (however, the focus of WWDC is expected to be on Mac OS X 10.5, or "Leopard"). Last year it was held in August and saw the introduction of the Intel version of the Mac Pro.
The iPhone, combines three products -- a mobile phone, a widescreen iPod with touch controls, and an Internet communications device with email, web browsing, searching and maps -- into one small and lightweight handheld device. It will be available in Europe in late 2007, and Asia in 2008, in a 4GB model for US$499 and an 8GB model for $599. The iPone will be sold in the US through Apple's retail and online stores, and through Cingular's retail and online stores. Cingular will be the exclusive wireless provider in the U.S.
