Dragon Web Surveys roars to version 8.0

Dragon Web Surveys 8.0 now leverages the industrial strength, standard PHP language for increased reliability and unique competitive features, according to Vincenzo Menanno, founder and president of FM::Nexus. For the first time, Dragon Web Surveys 8.0 administrators can run surveys in multiple languages, and can set automatic email notifications, as well as start and stop dates and times. New custom cascading style sheets (CSS) support, new visual reporting statistics and six new question types are also introduced in version 8.0.

The redesign of Dragon Web Surveys 8.0 also represents a complete overhaul that improves traditional capabilities, such as data export, cross-tab reporting, branching logic, administrator email notification, and response validation. In addition, improved visual cuing provides administrators information about respondent notification, reminder and response. Enhanced image embedding makes it easy to present questions with pictures or images that can help respondents visually relate to an otherwise text-based question, Menanno says. Dragon Web Surveys also allows administrators to embed custom HTML code.

Dragon Web Surveys includes built-in support for web surveys written in English, French, Italian, Spanish, German, Japanese and Chinese. Any additional language can also be added.

Dragon Web Surveys 8.0 is available immediately here. It runs on Mac OS X or Windows, and is compatible with any modern web browser. FileMaker Pro 9 is required for survey creation and administration, and FileMaker Server 9 with PHP turned on is required to capture responses.

Dragon Web Surveys 8.0 is priced at US$1,899. Previous customers of Dragon Web Surveys are eligible for a 20 percent discount. Site licenses are $3,500, and provide developers with under the hood access to extend Dragon Web Surveys. A fully functional demo, allowing the capture of up to 25 responses per survey, is available here.

Education and non-profits are eligible for a 30 percent discount. FileMaker Business Alliance members are eligible for a 20 percent discount. Discounts cannot be combined except for the previous customer discount. Discounts are only available by calling (888) 835-4483 or (510) 835-4483.
