DXG launches high-def consumer camcorder

It has an HD video resolution of up to 1280 x 720 at 30 fps (frames per second) and D1 resolution of 720 x 480 at 30fps. What's more, the DXG-566V HD also captures still photos with a resolution of up to 8 megapixels. It features a 5-megapixel CMOS sensor, 2X digital zoom, three-inch camcorder-style flip-out LCD screen, with support for high-capacity SD cards for more recording time.

You can share videos by connecting the camcorder to a TV through the A/V out connection. The DXG-566V HD lets you view videos in 4:3 or 16:9 (panoramic) aspect ratios. You can also connect the DXG-566V HD to your computer (via USB), upload online to YouTube and share your high-def videos with the world. The DXG-566V HD has a built-in LED flash, self-timer, and white balance adjustment to control color/lighting.
