Expo: Boinx Software releases PhotoPresenter 4

Today at the Macworld Expo, Boinx Software released PhotoPresenter 4, an update to the quick presentation tool for digital photographers. It's a theme-based photo viewer for creating animated slideshows with photos, movies and music.

Version 4 has been rewritten from scratch and is fully compatible with Mac OS X 10.6 ("Snow Leopard"). The modern foundation provides the "rock solid stability that could be expected of a professional presentation tool," says Oliver Breidenbach, CEO of Boinx Software.

PhotoPresenter 4 sports a revamped user interface. For example, the preview pane shows an animated preview of the current selected theme. With the Quick Look HUDs the information you need is just a mouse click away.

PhotoPresenter 4 is built around 37 themes. Among them are Origami, as seen on the iPad. It letsyou create animated slideshows with effects instantly. Every theme offers a variety of settings to configure it to your needs. PhotoPresenter 4 remembers the theme you selected for each album, so you can keep various different presentations on hand.

PhotoPresenter 4 integrates with all of the iApps on the Mac -- including iTunes, iDVD, iWeb or iPhoto but also with Photo Booth and Aperture – including the new Aperture 3. Flickr Users now can access their photos from their photo stream, as well as the images of their friends.

The most elegant way to share the own photos is to create a Standalone Player. With a Standalone Player every Mac user can enjoy your without having PhotoPresenter installed.

PhotoPresenter 4 can be extended with Automator Actions and AppleScript scripts to optimize your existing workflow. It also recognizes changes in Flickr Groups and Sets as well as in Smart Albums of iPhoto or Aperture.

With PhotoPresenter professional photographers can place a copyright notice or a watermark of their logo and web address on their show. The watermark will be displayed during the entire show.

Every user of PhotoPresenter is invited to take part at a free live webinar to learn all about the new features of PhotoPresenter 4 on Feb. 22 at 6 pm GMT/DST. More info can be found at http://boinx.com/webinars .

PhotoPresenter 4 is available immediately for download for US$29 in the Boinx Software Kagi Store at http://boinx.com/kagi. A family license (for up to five computers in a household) for PhotoPresenter is available for $49. PhotoPresenter 4 is also included in FotoMagico 3 Pro thats available for $149. A

PhotoPresenter 4 requires Mac OS X 10.5 or later and a supported Core Image graphics card. Advanced effects may require a more capable graphic card.
