Fantom Network Disk targeted to home networking, SOHO markets

[url=http://www.micronet.com]Fantom Drives[/url] has announced the Fantom Network Disk, which provides up to 750GB of shared storage for the emerging home networking and fast-growing SOHO markets.

The Fantom Drives Network Disk is a Network Attached Storage device, allowing shared network access through Ethernet or as an external hard drive through an USB 2.0 connection. It provides a SOHO-specific counterpart to the company’s multi-terabyte, high-performance Platinum NAS solution designed for the SMB market. The Fantom Drives Network Disk was designed to meet home networking and SOHO requirements for simplicity and ease of use, enabling home users to add it to a network in minutes, and requires no networking experience to install, according to the folks at Fantom Drives.

You plug in an Ethernet cable and all setup and permissions are administered via a web user interface to share content across Mac OS X and Windows systems. It's designed to be portable and offers maximum sustained transfer rates of up to 40MB/second (over USB 2.0).

The new Fantom Drives Network Disk is available in three capacities: 250GB for $149.95, 500GB at $279.95 and 750GB model for $649.95. All Fantom Drives Network Disk products are protected by a standard one-year limited warranty.
