



According to Nielsen BuzzMetrics, a system which tracks English language blogs, the iPhone was mentioned by more blogs than either George W. Bush or McDonald’s for the 10 days following its Jan. 9 unveiling by Apple CEO Steve Jobs at the Macworld Conference & Expo. Since then, the product has seemingly been in the news every day, with pundits talking about it and third-parties jumping on the bandwagon with iPhone compatible peripherals.
Enough already. The iPhone doesn't even ship until June -- unless Apple sneaks it out early, as some analysts are now predicting. Now I won't lie to you: if there's iPhone news of any sort, we'll report on it here at Macsimum News. News items about the three-in-one device are extremely well read, so we're not about to stifle iPhone coverage.
But I'm ready to report on some Mac related news. Where's iWork '07? Where art thou, iLife '07? Some more Leopard peeks, Steve? Any word on iSight-equipped Cinema Display upgrades? Beefed up Mac Pros? Anything at all, Apple?
Jobs said during his Macworld keynote that Apple has lots of exciting Mac announcements coming in 2007. I don't doubt that at all. But as a Mac news junkie (and reporter), I want some now.
So, c'mon, Steve, throw us newshounds a Mac news bone. Call me on your iPhone and let's talk. I'll accept the long-distance charges ...
