Quoting second hand sources, TechCrunch says Apple is planning an iPad that more closely resembles a Mac than an iPod touch. The story says the device will be bigger than the 9.7-inch iPad (perhaps as large as 15.4 inches) and run Mac OS X rather than iPod OS. When might we see this supersized iPad. TechCrunch says maybe at the 2010 Apple Worldwide Developer Conference.
Meanwhile, Wired says that the iPad II, iPad Plus or whatever, will have a webcam. That's a feature that many folks were expected to be included in the first gen. It wasn't.
However, "close scrutiny of the iPad which Steve Jobs presented at Apple’s special event last week shows what may be webcam, tucked away in the black screen bezel just like it is on the MacBook Pro," says Wired.
Also, according to the Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal, Mission Repair, a company that fixes Apple products, reported Monday that it got a shipment of iPad parts that included frames with what look like a slot where a camera would fit. When it placed a camera from MacBook in the slot, Mission Repair says it fit perfectly.
