iPhone/iPod/iPad apps for April 1

Here are the latest iPhone/iPod touch/iPod/iPad apps announced. You can find 'em at the Apple App Store (http://www.itunes.com/appstore).

Box.net has announced its Box App for iPad is available for free.The app is a cloud content management solution that has been designed to take full advantage of iPad’s Multi-Touch interface. Box App for iPad enables users to access, share and interact with business content stored on Box.net, which lets you share, manage and access all your business content online.

220 Software has released Glow Magic: Doodle Animator 1.0 for iPhone and iPod touch devices. With the US$0.99 app, users can draw glowing art using a variety of tools, and then add animations like falling snow, a moving starfield, or even fireworks displays.

InterLingua Medical Publishing has introduced Medical Point2 Spanish 1.0, an $0.99 iPhone app that allows medical and emergency personnel to communicate with Spanish-speaking patients by pointing to translated phrases on the screen.

Penguin New Zealand has stepped up their production of e-book apps for the iPad with the release of two more QBook titles. Children’s titles; "Wheelbarrow Wilbur" and "That’s Not Junk. These join "Sebastian's Tall QBook" and "Sebastian's Tall QBook Lite."

Appular has announced that two iPad games will be available when the product launches this Saturday. Hangman RSS HD offers a way to discover and enjoy the latest headlines from major news sources. Players must guess letters to fill in the latest headlines before their stick figure avatar succumbs to the noose. As the difficulty level increases, players are tasked with filling in more and more words in the headline.

Kodix HD is a new take on the Mastermind board game, where players must crack the code using their powers of deduction and logic. The iPad selects a secret pattern of colors, and the players must try to guess the sequence within a certain amount of turns, using clues from their previous guesses.

TapFactory has launched Stick It - Sticky Notes for the iPad. The US$1.99 app goes beyond basic sticky note functionality by providing users with ways to customize their notes and backgrounds.

GameFly has updated its free GameCenter app for the iPhone and iPod touch. In addition to the most recent news, release dates, user reviews, game controls, videos, cheats, codes and more for over 7,000 video games, GameCenter 1.2 offers GameFly members a fully integrated GameQ in-app that purportedly enables easier browsing, adding, deleting and sharing of games. The new version also includes an improved user interface and more personalization.

Sounds Broken has unleashed gogoDocs 1.1.0 for the new iPad. The $4.99 app supports the new "upload any file" feature of Google Docs, including audio, video and other files, as well as filtering your docs list by name. Files are downloaded to your iPad while it's online, and kept available for viewing offline.

Skyhook Wireless has announced Local Faves, a software development kit that helps developers add location tagging, community and check-in functionality to any iPhone app. Developers traditionally use location in apps that are tied to the physical environment, like navigation, social networking, weather, and search. Local Faves is designed to bring the context of location to digital content-based apps, like music, wine, food, reference, books, and more.
