iPhone/iPod/iPad apps for Feb. 24

Here are the latest iPhone/iPod touch/iPod apps announced. You can find 'em at the Apple App Store (http://www.itunes.com/appstore/).

Inspired by the U.S. military's fight against the surge in piracy off the coast of Somalia, a new iPhone/iPod touch game, SEAL Heroes: Pirate Take down, enables Players to lead SEAL commandos on a mission to take down pirates and free hostages on a hijacked cruise ship.

CardKing has released a free iPhone app that turns your phone's camera into a barcode scanner that automatically scans and saves the barcode in your phone for retrieval later. With OneTouch, you locate and display your Barcoded Cards that enable merchants to scan the barcode directly from your iPhone's screen -- or simply enter your membership numbers for cards without barcodes, such as airlines and hotel cards.

OK.gov, the official web site of the state of Oklahoma, has released a free app, available now at http://iPhone.OK.gov . It gives Oklahomans access to Oklahoma government directly from an iPhone or iPod touch. The new application provides real-time access to state agency news, office location mapping, and professional licensee look-ups.

Small Wonders has announced Battle of Puppets 1.2, an update to their $0.99 linear strategy game for the iPhone and iPod touch. Its Players are cast as silent puppeteers, who must strategically control their hordes of marionette minions as they battle across the show stage. Version 1.2 features Open Feint support and other new features.
