iPhone/iPod/iPad apps for March 10

Here are the latest iPhone/iPod touch/iPod/iPad apps announced. You can find 'em at the Apple App Store (http://www.itunes.com/appstore/).

Rentals.com -- a resource for single-units, apartments and houses for rent nationwide -- has announced its Rentals.com App is now available from the Apple App Store. The free app gives users the ability to search Rentals.com listings from their iPhone or iPod touch.

Augmented Reality has released Poynt for the iPhone. The free app connects iPhone users to local businesses, people, restaurants and movie theaters, offering detailed listings, location information and augmented reality.

TruffleSoft has introduced xSolve 1.0, an US$0.99 custom calculator utility for the iPhone and iPod touch. It lets users automatically create their own custom solutions. Enter a formula, set any desired optional settings and xSolve will create a custom utility.

Dejal Systems has rolled out Tweeps 1.0 for the iPhone and iPod touch, with an iPad edition in the works. The $0.99 app is a Twitter companion tool to manage your Twitter account. You can edit your avatar, name, bio text, web site URL and location, plus follow/unfollow people, see if someone follows you, block people, and find people.

NoteVault, which provides voice-based mobile reporting solutions for the construction industry, has rolled out a free iPhone app that purportedly simplifies the hassle and inconvenience of reporting construction observations and events.

Houdah Software has announced ACTRocket 1.1 for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. The $0.99 for quick searching of web sites and search engines. Version 1.1 adds a built-in browser.

ASD Plus has unveiled iRetro Dialer 1.4 for iPhone and iPod touch devices. The update of the $1.99 rotary dialer sports nine skins and a realistic sound effect. It supports contact speed dial and number editing.

Proactive Life has unleashed Proactive Sleep 1.2 for the iPhone and iPod touch. It's an update of the $2.99 app that tracks your sleep and displays your sleep patterns when you set an alarm at night.

Slide To Play has releases GameFinder 1.0.1, a free app now available in the Apple App Store. It's designed to help iPhone and iPod touch owners find their new favorite games in a variety of ways. Gamers can check out games that were recently reviewed on Slide To Play, explore games by genre, or browse through exclusively programmed lists, such as STP Games of the Month, zombie-themed games, or great games under a dollar and more.

SpeedDate.com, a speed dating website, has updated its mobile application that allows users to quickly meet and connect with singles using their smartphones.
