3PYX has announced Budget iQ 1.0 for the iPhone and iPod touch. The US$0.99 app monitors a user's financial picture, makes projections, and offers help for deciding whether or not a purchase is affordable.
DifferentApps has unveiled FastCalc 1.0 for iPhone and iPod touch users. It's a $2.99 calculator that allows for copy and pasting of formulas while providing memory storage, expression display and calculating rules.
FogTechnologies has released Snap + Map 1.0 for iPhone devices. The $1.99 app converts paper maps into GPS-enabled maps. Users simply take a picture of a paper map using their iPhone, set two snap points and Snap + Map displays their current location on the map.
Wakeupcall.tv is a new, $1.99 iPhone application that turns an alarm clock into a daily two-minute video newscast set off by a jazzy retro ringtone. The free app features push notifications for severe weather, animated radar and satellite maps, 12-hour temperature, precipitation and wind trend graphs, seven-day forecasts and current conditions for over 10,000 U.S. and International cities.
