First of all, I hope it has a 10-inch screen (though a less expensive 7-inch option would be nice, as well). And I hope the iPad/iTablet -- if indeed it exists (remember Apple has never actually confirmed it even had such a goodie in the works) -- will have all the capabilities of the iPod touch. It should be able to run all the current iPod touch-compatible apps in the Apple App Store, as well as some apps made specifically for it.
And I want it to include some nifty ebook and e-magazine features. I think it will, and I expect the just-announced Kindle DX Wireless offers a hint of what we can expect. In other words, features such as electronic paper display, auto-rotate capability and more.
Naturally, the iPad/iTablet will be even better than the Amazon product. It will, in my opinion, be targeted at e-magazines and digital newspapers as much as (if not more so) than ebooks. That's why it will have a color screen rather than the 16-shades-of-gray screen of the new Amazon device.
Since I'm one of those who expects Apple to make an announcement on Jan. 26 or 27, we'll see then exactly what Apple has up its sleeve.
