Boardfoot Calculator is an application to help woodworkers calculate the amount of lumber required for a specific project. The interface allows you to enter measurements in a variety of formats and to solve for unknown values. A built-in wood database is available for defining commonly used wood types. Material lists can be printed and exported.
Design Intution is CAD software for woodworkers and cabinet makers. It works with Mac OS X 10.2.6 or later. Design Intuition is used for such projects as: cabinetry design; kitchen cabinetry design; bathroom design; home theatre cabinetry; interior woodworking; home construction; home planning; custom cabinetry; furniture; and remodeling.
This isn't a Mac app, but MultiEducator offers Architect's Formulator, an architect formula and calculation tool for the iPhone and iPod touch. It costs US$9.88 and is available at the Apple App Store. Architect's Formulator includes over 200 formulas for carpentry, electrical and plumbing, as well as special formulas for architects. It combines all of the formulas from MultiEducator's Electrical, Carpentry and Plumbing Formulators.
