Control System Toolbox

[url=http://www.mathworks.com/]Control System Toolbox[/url] (shown) provides specialized tools for designing and analyzing controllers for closed-loop control of dynamic systems. It enables both classical and modern control design methods, including root locus, pole placement, and LQG regulator design. The Control System Toolbox lets you model linear-time-invariant (LTI) systems in transfer function, zero/pole/gain, or state-space model representations in either continuous- or discrete-time forms. Toolbox functions enable you to convert between these model representations and time forms and compute and graph LTI system time responses, frequency responses, and root loci.

ConverTable Units

CoPlot

[url=http://www.cohort.com/]CoPlot[/url] is a program for creating scientific graphs, maps, and technical drawings. It lets you change any attribute of any part of any graph or drawing object.

CoStat

[url=http://www.cohort.com/]CoStat[/url] is a statistical program that makes commonly used statistical procedures accessible. It has a wide selection of procedures: descriptive statistics, GLM ANOVA, regression (including multiple regression and nonlinear regression), analysis of frequency data, non-parametric tests, etc. CoStat's spreadsheets can contain different types of data (floating point, integer, date, time, degrees, string, etc.) and can have any number of rows and columns.

Curve Fit Extension: Chart 5 for Macintosh

[url=http://www.adinstruments.com/]Curve Fit Extension: Chart 5 for Macintosh[/url] is a Chart extension that performs non-linear least squares fitting of equations to data. This extension allows analytical or iterative fitting of predefined or user defined equations to data that has been recorded as a function of time.

Data Desk

[url=http://www.datadesk.com/]Data Desk[/url] is a graphical tool for analyzing data. It uses dynamic graphics, linked plots and computations to help you find patterns, relationships and exceptions in your data.

Database Toolbox

[url=http://www.mathworks.com/]Database Toolbox[/url] is a MATLAB add-on that enables data exchange between MATLAB and any ODBC/JDBC-compliant database. It includes a Visual Query Builder that facilities query of stored data without need to learn SQL.

Data Reader

[url=http://www.novajo.ca/]Data Reader[/url] allows you to read the data from a graph and export to an ASCII file for further processing.

Datasqueeze

[url=http://www.datasqueezesoftware.com/]Datasqueeze[/url] is a graphical interface for analyzing data from 2D X-ray diffraction detectors (wire, image plate, CCD). It's particularly useful for the analysis of powder diffraction data, diffuse scattering from polymers or liquid crystals, or small-angle scattering from colloids, polymers, gels or solutions.

DataTank

[url=http://www.visualdatatools.com/]DataTank[/url] is an extendable tool for visualizing and manipulating scientific data sets. Written from scratch for Mac OS X, it allows interactive manipulation of 2D and 3D data sets with extensive support for time series and animation. DataTank can be used for a variety of fields such as Image processing, CFD, etc.

DeltaPlot

[url=http://www.crog.org/dplot/]DeltaPlot[/url] is software for plotting data into ternary diagrams (triangular plot). It was conceived with Earth sciences in mind, but can be extended to plotting of any type of data within triangular plots. With it, you can choose to plot your data within a set of pre-installed standard ternary diagrams, but you can also create your own diagrams.

DigitizeIt

[url=http://www.digitizeit.de/]DigitizeIt [/url] digitizes scanned graphs and charts. Graphs can be loaded in nearly all common image formats (incl. gif, tiff, jpeg, bmp, png, psd, pcx, xbm, xpm, tga, pct) or pasted from the clipboard . Digitizing of line and scatter plots occurs automatically, manual digitizing via mouse clicks is also possible. Data values are transformed to a specified axes system and can be saved in ASCII format.

Distributed Computing Toolbox

[url]Distributed Computing Toolbox[/url] allows you to execute coarse-grained MATLAB algorithms and Simulink models in a cluster of computers.

Dynamic Visualizer for Mathematica

[url=http://www.wolfram.com/]Dynamic Visualizer[/url] is a real-time viewing extension to Mathematica that allows the user to graphically simulate systems that range from simple harmonic motion and chaotic behavior to planetary systems. All transformations can be programmed or performed interactively. Using Mathematica's MathLink protocol, objects created in Mathematica are displayed in Dynamic Visualizer where they can be scaled, rotated, and textured. Dynamic Visualizer works with all standard Mathematica graphics commands such as ParametricPlot3D, Plot3D, and Graphics3D. Objects can be rendered as wire frames or as flat or smooth Gouraud shade.

EdenGraph

Engineering Aid

[url=http://homepage.mac.com/raycocco/rayware.html]Engineering Aid[/url] contains more than one hundred different unit conversions in both the metric and English system.

EnLiten

[url=http://www.ensight.com/]EnLiten[/url] is a 3D geometry player for viewing, analyzing and manipulating, and presenting complex visualization scenarios. It requires no special software skills or programming and runs on Mac O SX, Linux, Unix, and Windows. EnLiten allows communication of high-end visualizations in application areas such as: computational fluid dynamics (CFD), finite element analysis (FEA), crash and safety analysis, aerodynamics, astrophysics, chemical processing and scientific visualization.

EnVideo

[url=http://www.ensight.com/]EnVideo[/url] is a 3D geometry player for viewing, analyzing and manipulating, and presenting complex visualization scenarios.

EvalService

[url=http://www.dekorte.com/]EvalService[/url] is a utility for evaluating selected strings as mathematical expressions.

Exbem

[url=http://www.pixlock.de/]Exbem[/url] is multi-purpose software for scientific image processing and analysis. It handles single images, as well as QuickTime movies, and live video sequences. Procedures can be flexibly configured in the frame of projects.

Experimental Data Assistant

[url=http://www.wolfram.com/]Experimental Data Analyst[/url] provides a set of detailed programs and packages for the fitting, visualization and error analysis of experimental data. Extensive error analysis capabilities handle errors in both coordinates of the data, obtain estimated errors in the fit parameters, and examine graphical information about the fit, including residuals of the fit. Data can be fit to linear or arbitrary models. Users can fit data to lines or curves when one or more of the data points may be "wild" and the least-squares technique cannot be used.

Farm Manager

[url=http://www.schmitzware.org/]Farm Manager[/url] is a client/server application that enables you to partition and distribute jobs over a cluster of computers. It's plug-in architecture enables support for any application.

FEMLAB

[url=http://www.comsol.com/]FEMLAB[/url] is an interactive environment for modeling and simulating scientific and engineering problems based on partial differential equations. Its multiphysics modeling feature allows you to simultaneously model any combination of phenomena in 2D and 3D, for all fields of engineering and sciences. FEMLAB's graphical user interface includes functions for CAD modeling, physics or equation definitions, automatic mesh generation, equation solving, visualization, and post-processing.

Filter Design Toolbox

[url=http://www.mathworks.com/]The Filter Design Toolbox[/url] is a collection of tools that provides techniques for designing, simulating, and analyzing digital filters. It extends the capabilities of the Signal Processing Toolbox by adding filter architectures and design methods for complex real-time DSP applications, including adaptive and multirate filtering. The Filter Design Toolbox also provides functions that simplify the design of fixed-point filters and the analysis of quantization effects.

Fixed-Point Blockset

[url=http://www.mathworks.com]Fixed-Point Blockset[/url] adds intrinsic fixed-point capabilities to the Simulink product family, enabling design of control and signal processing systems that are implemented using fixed-point arithmetic.

Fledermaus

[url=http://www.ivs3d.com/]Fledermaus[/url] allows users near real-time, interactive 3D display of complex scenes at their full resolution. You can extract information from their combined data (data sets such as multi-beam, LIDAR, magnetic and gravity, in fact any surface data that has an x, y, z, variables format). Data such as backscatter, side scan, geo-referenced aerial photographs or images (still images from an ROV) can be draped over topographic or bathymetric data sets.

FreeMat

[url=http://freemat.sourceforge.net/]FreeMat[/url] is an engineering, scientific prototyping and data processing environment that supports Mac OS X, Linux and Windows.

Frequency Domain System Identification Toolbox

Function Generator Extension: Chart 5 for Macintosh

[url=http://www.adinstruments.com/]Function Generator Extension: Chart 5 for Macintosh[/url] is a Chart extension that lets you generate artificial data. This is useful for comparing theoretical and experimental data and for educational purposes.

Fuzzy Logic

[url=http://www.wolfram.com]Fuzzy Logic[/url] is a set of tools for creating, modifying, and visualizing fuzzy sets and fuzzy logic-based systems. Designed for engineers, researchers, and educators, it introduces the user to basic concepts of fuzzy logic and demonstrate how to apply the tools in the package to a wide variety of fuzzy system design tasks.

Geometrica02

[url=http://www.wolfram.com/products/applications/geometrica/]Geometrica[/url] is a program for exact drawing and geometry. Because it uses the symbolic engine of Mathematica, many theorems of geometry are integrated to let you create figures and perform analytical geometry and tests.

Gmsh

[url=http://www.case.edu/artsci/math/geuzaine/]Gmsh[/url] is an automatic 3D finite element grid generator with a build-in CAD engine and post-processor. Gmsh is built around four modules: geometry, mesh, solver and post-processing. The specification of any input to these modules is done either interactively using the graphical user interface or in ASCII text files using Gmsh's own scripting language.

Gnuplot

[url=http://gnuplot.sourceforge.net/]Gnuplot[/url] is a portable command-line driven interactive datafile (text or binary) and function plotting utility for Mac OS X, UNIX, IBM OS/2, MS Windows, DOS, VMS, Atari and other platforms.

GraphClick

[url=http://www.arizona-software.ch/]GraphClick[/url] is graph digitizer software thath allows you to automatically retrieve the original (x,y)-data from the image of a scanned graph or from a QuickTime movie. It includes automatic detection of curves (solid, dotted or dashed), symbols, bar charts or perimeters of areas.
