LightSpeed from Xsilva is a multi-user Point of Sale (POS) system built exclusively for Mac OS X. features an iTunes-like interface that lets you browse your business as you'd browse a playlist in iTunes. You can browse live previews of products, customers and sales documents, drag and drop business elements to create new documents, and save frequently-used Smart Finds. You can search your LightSpeed-managed business with the Search All feature, look up inventory in other linked stores, effortlessly capture product and customer images on-the-fly with an iSight camera, and access LightSpeed's sales, service, tracking and purchasing tool. Browser searches are also now based on SpringLoader technology from Xsilva and OpenBase.
MacPOS
MacPOS by Simply Outstanding Software is an inventory control program for small to medium sized businesses. The program provides sales and purchase order generation and features point-of-sale cash drawer control for retail business and inventory control features for wholesale/mail order businesses.
MCVE (Mainstreet Credit Verification Engine)
MCVE (Mainstreet Credit Verification Engine) by Main Street Softworks is a scalable, self-contained financial transaction server (Ddaemon) that connects Web sites, point-of-sale, and/or ERP systems to end credit card clearing houses (processors) at the host protocol level. Features include support for multiple modems, multiple merchant accounts, and multiple processors, all simultaneously -- as well as IP and SSL connectivity alongside SQL database support. It's Mac OS X compatible.
OpenBravo
OpenBravo is a web-based, open-source ERP. Macsimum News reader John Zentveld says he's used it for a number of years in a multi-terminal set-up, "back to a MSSQL database" and "it's great." Via USB to serial converters you can get the usual thermal printers to work, and an "ELO touch screen makes it perfect," Zentveld adds.
PayGo POS
PayGo POS by Christian James is a retailer-reseller solution for business owners. It's built for Mac OS X.
